i can't believe that this boy is already THIS boy.
only a year-and-a-half later.
soooooo not wanting his picture taken.
those are trading cards in his shirt pocket.
and there are stripe-y socks inside those big boy shoes.
+++
my lukey requests that we call him luc or lucas.
and pours himself a bowl of cheerios (with a spoonful of sugar)
all before waking me in the morning.
and THAT boy down there graduated from pre-school on friday.
and i'm not even kidding.
+++
+++
we are walking the line of little boy wonder and big boy curiosity.
i want to keep his imagination wild.
keep the magic in rainbow tie-dyed head-to-toe suits.
and mittens on both hands in the middle of spring.
+++
i don't want anyone to tell him otherwise.
not yet.
oh my gosh all of a sudden he looks really old! crazy tye dye lucas! i'm proud of you on your preschool :)
ReplyDeleteLindsay,
ReplyDeleteYour little boy is adorable! Sometimes it's hard to see our little ones grow up but at the same time it's exciting to see what they are becoming. But here's to hoping they don't grow up way too fast!
BTW, love, love, love, the bow tie.

I can't believe how much older he looks in this picture compared to the Sunbeam picture. I love that sweet face!
ReplyDeleteAhhh what a handsome kid you got there Linds! It isn't quite fair how fast time goes by is it? And the bow ties are fab!
ReplyDeletelove that first picture. new adventures ahead!
ReplyDeleteWow! Is that really Run, Lucas, Run?
ReplyDeletePlease don't let go of tie dye Lukey. Yes, in front of your teenage friends I'm sure I will slip often and call you Lukey.
